There is a reported heavy police presence near the Cos Cob Plaza shopping center on East Putnam Avenue. Among the responding units, a K-9 unit from New Rochelle, N.Y. has been seen in the area.

Several passersby told Greenwich Time that police were searching for a man on foot.
Police at the scene were not commenting. Reached around 8 p.m., Lt. Kraig Gray said he did not have information on the activity there.
